Al-Zaytouna Centre for Studies and Consultations in Beirut has published a new book entitled The Palestinian National Authority: Studies of the Experience and Performance 1994–2013. A select group of writers specialized in the Palestinian issue have participated in the writing this 757-page book, edited by Prof. Dr. Mohsen Mohammad Saleh.

This book endeavors to present a comprehensive study of the Palestinian Authority (PA) and its experience, nearly twenty years after the Oslo Accords and the establishment of the Palestinian National Authority, as there is now a need to probe this experience from its various aspects. This is so especially that it has failed to realize the quintessence of the concept on which it was based, which is to evolve from being a self-rule authority to becoming an independent state with full sovereignty over the Palestinian territories occupied in 1967 (the West Bank and Gaza Strip).

The book is composed of 15 chapters that examine all aspects related to the establishment of the PA and its legislative, judicial and presidential institutions, as well as the performance of its various governments.
