With the participation of a number of international experts, researchers, politicians, some diplomats and representatives of local civil society, the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights held on 23 and 24/2/2013, a conference entitled “War on Gaza: Repercussions and Future Prospects,” in collaboration with al-Zaytouna Centre for Studies and Consultations, TIDA Research, and Pal-Think for Strategic Studies.

The conference made an assessment of the political and legal repercussions of the Israeli war on Gaza Strip in November 2012. It discussed the long-term impact of the war on the social and economic situation in Gaza Strip, highlighting the role of social media during the aggression. The participants analyzed the direct and indirect impact of the war on Hamas’ relations at home and abroad, and discussed the military aspects of the aggression and their impact on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. At the end, recommendations were made that would contribute to the strategies of the Palestinian national liberation project.
