Joining 200 scholars from 30 countries, the General-Manager of al-Zaytouna Centre, Prof. Dr. Mohsen Mohammad Saleh, participated in MyAqsa Roundtable Conference for World Islamic Scholars on Baitulmaqdis: “Jerusalem: The Nation’s Identity,” which was held on 26–28/1/2018, in Putrajaya, Malaysia. The conference was jointly organized by MyAQSA Foundation and the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM), with the participation of the Council of Palestinian Scholars Abroad and International Union of Muslim Scholars.

Dr. Saleh presented a paper on the “Normalization with Israel,” in the conference first session “The Ruling of Normalization with Israel,” headed by Dr. Thabet Abu al-Hajj.

The first session also included a paper titled “The Nation’s Scholars Charter.. Incentive and Substance,” by Dr. Muhammad ‘Abdul Karim; and a recorded speech by Dr. Marwan Abu Ras; followed by discussions and interventions.

The second session discussed the topic of “fighting Israel,” and was headed by Dr. ‘Abdul Jabbar Sa‘id. It included papers presented by Dr. Zulkifli Mohamad al-Bakri, Dr. ‘Abdul Razzaq Qassum and Dr. Muhammad Yusri.

“Jerusalem… Reality and Challenges,” was the title of the third session, and it was headed by Dr. Abdulvahap Ekinci. It included papers by Yasir Abu Ghazalah and Dr. Ra’fat Masri.

In the fourth session, headed by Sheik Muhammad al-Hajj, the theme “New Ideas and Opinions for the Liberation of Jerusalem” was discussed, with a major paper by Dr. Ali al-Qaradaghi.

Finally, the conference ended by discussing the closing statement.
