On 19/5/2021, al-Zaytouna Centre held a panel discussion entitled, “The Impact of the Developments in the Palestinian Arena on Putting the Palestinian Political House in Order.
Over the spam of two sessions, the expert panelists discussed the disruption of the Palestinian elections; the escalation of popular resistance in Jerusalem; the military participation of the Palestinian resistance in Gaza Strip (GS) in the battle of defending Jerusalem; the Israeli aggression against GS; the spread of popular resistance and demonstrations in the West Bank, the 1948 occupied territories and abroad; and the Arab, Islamic and international interaction with the events.
The experts also discussed the possible scenarios of how the events may develop, how would they impact the internal Palestinian scene and what are the options of dealing with these scenarios. They offered some suggestions on how to support the aspirations of the Palestinian people and on how to put the Palestinian political house in order.
The results of this seminar will be published in a special policy paper.
