• Jordanian (of Palestinian origin), born in 1960.
• Earned a Ph.D. degree in modern and contemporary history in 1993.
• A professor of Modern and Contemporary Arab History, specialized in the Palestine studies, politically, strategically and historically. He has special interests in the Palestinian political situation, Jerusalem affairs, the Palestinian Islamic movement, the Palestinian resistance and the modern and contemporary history of Palestine.
• The general manager of al-Zaytouna Centre for Studies and Consultations since 2004.
• Scientific Advisor to the Council of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Tripoli University, Lebanon, since 2019.
• Former Head of Department of History and Civilization at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), and a former faculty member 1994–2004.
• Former executive manager of Middle East Studies Centre in Amman, Jordan, 1993–1994.
• Granted the Bait al-Maqdis (Jerusalem) award for Young Muslim Scholars in 1997.
• Granted the Excellent Teaching Award by IIUM in 2002.
• Published 17 books, including: The Islamic Trend in Palestine 1917–1948; The Military Forces and the Police in Palestine 1917–1939 (dissertation); Methodological Studies of the Palestine Issue; The Palestine Issue: Historical Background and Contemporary Developments; Facts and Fundamentals of the Palestine Issue (The Forty Facts on the Palestine Issue); The Lost Track of the Palestinian State; and The Road to Jerusalem.
• Prepared and edited 19 additional books in collaboration with fellow researchers. They include two key reference series on Palestinian information sources:
– The Palestine Documents series, 7 volumes (2005–2011).
– The Palestine Daily Chronicle series, 10 volumes (2014–2023).
• Authored 25 studies, published as chapters in academic books.
• Published many peer-reviewed scientific studies in journals, books and as chapters in edited volumes.
• Contributed to the review, editing and proofreading of The Simplified Palestinian Encyclopedia (Editor-in-Chief ‘Abdul ‘Aziz al-Sayyed), writing the scientific material for 71 entries and editing an additional 160.
• Edited and supervised the preparation and publication of 106 volumes and books, including:
– The Palestine Strategic Report Series: 13 volumes published (2005–2023); It is one of the most prominent reference works on Palestine studies.
– He served as the academic editor of 93 other volumes and books, including the Am I Not a Human? book series (13 volumes), and the Information Report series (30 volumes), along with numerous other works, such as The Palestine Liberation Organization: Evaluating the Experience and Restructuring, Conditions of the Palestinian Refugees in Lebanon, Studies on the Cultural Heritage of Jerusalem, The Palestinian National Authority: Studies of the Experience and Performance 1994–2013, Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas): Studies of Thought & Experience and American Foreign Policy & the Muslim World.
• Delivered 135 papers and presentations at local and international conferences.

• Editor-in-Chief of the “Palestine Today” from 1/5/2005 to 31/7/2016 (a daily publication with 4,007 issues released).
• Chaired (and supervised) 77 conferences and panel discussions 2003–2024, primarily organized by Al-Zaytouna Centre.
• A frequent contributor to prominent newspapers and websites, with over 350 scholarly articles, political analyses and situation assessments on Palestinian affairs published across these outlets.
• Interviewed 490 times across satellite channels, television, radio, print media and websites.
