The 102-page book begins with an overview of children in Palestinian society and proceeds to examine their key rights and the violations thereof, including children killed or injured, those detained or imprisoned, and their health conditions; covering both mental health and malnutrition, as well as mortality. It further addresses the social and economic situation, including poverty, child labor and access to education.
The book is further notable for its fluid style, blending rigorous scholarly analysis with carefully chosen images and narratives. It vividly portrays the suffering of Palestinian children under Israel’s oppressive practices, at a time when the world speaks of human rights, dignity and the right to live peacefully in one’s homeland, yet largely ignores the realities faced by the Palestinian people.
