The Palestinian scene changed dramatically after Hamas’s winning in Palestinian elections 2006. Significant however were the contested authorities between Fatah and Hamas in managing the Palestinian Authority institutions. The Palestinian president, Mahmoud Abbas, on the first side, and the government and the  Parliament on the second. With Fatah committed to Oslo agreement and peace process, and Islamic Hamas committed to resistance and change; an inevitable conflict of authorities had to take place, thus causing major cracks within the Palestinian constitutional system and the functional mechanisms of its three bodies, the legislative, executive and judicial.
