Al-Zaytouna Centre has published a new book entitled, “The Palestine Liberation Organization and the Palestinian National Council (Introduction–Documents–Decisions).” It provides the basic general introductory material concerning the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and its institutions, including the most important documents and decisions. However, these documents were not studied or analyzed, for this book is primarily an information file and documents.

This book collected the PLO-related documents, the PLO charter and its amendments, in addition to the Palestinian National Council (PNC) documents and its decisions. Thus, facilitating the access of researchers to this information.
Chapter one introduces the PLO charter and statute; chapter two discusses the leadership and decision-making institutions represented by the PNC, the Palestinian Central Council (PCC) and the PLO Executive Committee; chapter three displays the PNC decisions; while chapter four presents the PLO-related texts.
The book contains historical and documentary material, which are very important since the PLO (established in 1964) is considered the sole legitimate representative of the Palestinian people.
Worthy to mention that the book’s main source was the Palestinian National Information Center, which provides distinguished online services to those interested in the Palestine issue.
