Al-Zaytouna Centre for Studies and Consultations released the updated version of its English Website. This version includes numerous software and visual advantages that are designed to keep up with the progress cyberspace has been featuring, and to facilitate the ways readers, researchers and academicians benefit from the websites’ services.
The new design offers several key advantages as it is devoted to highlighting materials within new divisions that are sorted by topics, content or publication types, offering visitors a smooth and effective access to information.
The new design is responsive offering a full-screen layout, and allowing room to display more items in a clearer view. It adapts automatically to different screens when surfed via mobile phones and tablet devices.
Over the past seven years, al-Zaytouna’s website has remained up-to-date with technical developments in the field of electronic publishing. The latest update introduces its content and search method to the best advanced international standards used by international think tanks and studies centers.
The developed site design was brought to light based on several visual concepts. Most importantly, the concept of simplicity went hand-in-hand with the priority of focusing on content, and the colors were carefully chosen to be comfortable and eye-friendly.
The ease of reading was also stressed by offering suitable fonts and studying the relationship between the elements of a single page in terms of size, influence and appropriate presentation.
A mega menu is introduced to reduce the accumulation of elements in the main menu, by dividing them into main portals instead of the previously-used long list.
A completely new search engine is introduced, thus the searching process became easier and more precise. Searchers can also see search terms highlighted on target pages.
Some visual effects were introduced, especially in the Palestinian Strategic Report, where some statistics are displayed using interactive charts and graphs.
We hope that all our visitors like this new look, and we welcome any feedback or critique that would enhance our work. Please, contact us at, [email protected].
