Al-Zaytouna Centre for Studies and Consultations ranked second among leading Palestinian think tanks in 2015. This is according to the 2015 Global Go To Think Tank Index Report that ranks the world’s leading think tanks in a variety of categories. Issued by the Lauder Institute of the University of Pennsylvania, the report was published in late January 2016.

According to the index, which is issued annually since 2006, 28 Palestinian centers and institutions were considered as think tanks for 2015. Palestine is one of the countries of Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, which includes 398 think tanks. In addition to Arab countries, the Top MENA Think Tanks list includes Turkey, Iran, Cyprus and Israel. The Contemporary Center for Studies and Policy Analysis (MEDAD) ranked first among Palestinian think tanks.
