Al-Zaytouna Centre is pleased to present this peer-reviewed study, in Arabic, by Wael El Mabhouh, entitled “The Palestinian Popular Resistance: The Choice of Reality or a National Strategy? The Great Marches of Return as an Example.”
The study examines the role of popular resistance in the Palestinian struggle, assessing whether it constitutes a national strategy or a tactical option. It further analyzes the drivers and constraints of peaceful popular resistance and the repercussions of the Great March of Return in the Gaza Strip (GS), using the 2018 marches as a case study.
The researcher employed historical, descriptive, and analytical methods, drawing on published literature and relevant experiences of popular resistance. The study therefore examines the broader implications of popular resistance, particularly the Great March of Return in the GS, while presenting differing perspectives through its citations and references.
