A book discussion forum on The Palestine Issue: Historical Background and Contemporary Developments was held on 14/9/2020, and organized by the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in collaboration with Al-Quds Foundation Malaysia. This event was part of the Jerusalem Cultural Week that has started on 11/9/2020.
Prof. Dr. Mohsen Mohammad Saleh, the author of the book and the General-Manager of al-Zaytouna Centre was one of the speakers. It is noted that the English version of the book was launched during the Jerusalem Cultural Week, and co-published by Al-Quds Foundation Malaysia and al-Zaytouna Centre for Studies and Consultations.
Associate Prof. Dr. Elmira Akhmetova, who translated the book into Tatar, was the moderator of the forum. At first, Saleh introduced the book and discussed its backgrounds, indicating that it was published in seven languages, and printed in Malaysia, Egypt, Kuwait, Lebanon, Indonesia, Turkey, Iran, Russia and Albania. He added that the book, whether soft or hard copy, was widespread and has gone through several editions over the past twenty years.
Prof. Dr. El Fatih Abdullahi Abdelsalam, the senior academic fellow at the Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences, IIUM, reviewed the book emphasizing the accuracy of its scientific content, the ease of its reading and its comprehensiveness, while Murakeen Makhdoomi has noted its scientific importance in comparison to other English books on the Palestine issue, and focused on many of its advantages.
