Al-Zaytouna Centre for Studies and Consultations has published an academic paper, in Arabic, by Thamer ‘Abdul Ghani Saba‘neh and ‘Abdul Salam ‘Awwad entitled “The Popular Resistance: Beita Village as an Example, Ways to Benefit From This Experience and Spread It.”

The authors study the popular resistance in Palestine, specifically in the town of Beita, explaining the reasons for the outbreak of popular resistance there, its achievements and the role of the media and the internet in the success and spread of the idea of popular resistance.

The paper reveals the importance and impact of the popular resistance on the Palestine issue, its role in the Palestinian struggle and its impact on the unification of the factionally-divided Palestinian people.

The study concludes that this experience should be studied and adopted, and transferred to the areas of confrontations in Palestine, and that it must be spread through the global media. It recommends putting plans for developing popular resistance; supporting the steadfastness of Beita, the neighboring towns and those standing in solidarity with them; and enhancing factional coordination and networking with institutions, associations and clubs in the town.
