Al-Zaytouna Centre for Studies and Consultations is pleased to make the “Trajectories of Aggression, Resistance and the Peace Process” section from The Palestine Strategic Report 2024–2025 available for free download on its website for researchers and all those interested in the Palestine issue.

This section provides a rigorously documented academic account of the course of Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people during 2024 and 2025, together with developments in the performance of the Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. It also analyzes the human and material losses, the evolution of military operations, Israeli policies, and offers an assessment of anticipated trends in the coming period.

This material meticulously documents Israel’s genocidal war on the Gaza Strip and the unprecedented humanitarian and urban devastation it caused, including the targeting of civilians, health, educational, and religious institutions, as well as infrastructure, alongside policies of starvation, siege, and forced displacement. It also reviews the scale of the losses sustained by Israel at the human, military, and economic levels, and discusses the gaps between the official Israeli narrative and the estimates presented by research centers and specialized reports.

With regard to the West Bank, this study examines the unprecedented Israeli escalation, including military incursions, assassinations, mass arrests, the destruction of infrastructure, and the intensification of settler attacks, alongside the continued Palestinian resistance in its various forms despite an exceptionally complex security environment. It also documents Operation “Iron Wall,” which targeted refugee camps in the northern West Bank and resulted in widespread destruction and the displacement of tens of thousands of Palestinians. In addition, the study examines developments concerning Palestinian prisoners and detainees, as well as Israeli legislation that further intensified policies of repression and collective punishment against Palestinians.

This material is drawn from the chapter entitled “Trajectories of Aggression, Resistance and the Peace Process,” the fourth chapter of The Palestine Strategic Report 2024–2025. It was written by Rabi‘ al-Danan and academically edited by Prof. Dr. Mohsen Mohammad Saleh.

The Palestine Strategic Report 2024–2025 is the fourteenth in a series published by Al-Zaytouna Centre for Studies and Consultations over the past two decades. Over time, the series has become a key reference for specialists and those interested in the Palestine issue, owing to its comprehensive coverage of developments over a two-year period, its adherence to rigorous academic and professional standards, and its extensive use of up-to-date data and statistics, supported by numerous tables and figures, alongside strategic analysis and forward-looking assessments.

Al-Zaytouna Centre hopes that this material will serve researchers, journalists, academic institutions, and others interested in Palestinian affairs. It provides a reliable scholarly reference for understanding the trajectories of Israeli aggression and the Palestinian resistance during one of the most critical periods in the history of the Palestine issue.
