Al-Zaytouna Centre for Studies and Consultations in Beirut is holding a one-day seminar on “The Issue of Palestine: Strategic Evaluation 2013 – Strategic Assessment 2014,” on Thursday 16/1/2014. The seminar will evaluate various developments in the Palestinian issue during 2013 and the changes of the Arab, Islamic and international environment. It will also focus on the probable developments of the Palestinian issue in 2014.
The seminar includes three sessions. The first one will discuss the internal Palestinian situation, addressing the progress of reconciliation, the peace process and the developments in the resistance and its prospects. The second session will focus on two aspects; first the Arab world and the Palestinian issue, second the Israeli Palestinian scene, and their prospects. The third and final session will address the impact of foreign countries on the Palestinian issue, particularly Iran, Turkey and the United States.
A selection of experts, academicians and intellectuals interested in the Palestinian affairs will be participating in the seminar. Local, Arab and international media and journalists will cover the event. For those interested, they can participate through the social media, Facebook and Twitter, using the hashtag #PI_2014.
