Prof. Dr. Mohsen Mohammad Saleh presented a working paper titled “New Political Alliances and Confrontations in the Near and Middle East in Light of the US Elections” at the International Political Experts Conference in Kyrgyzstan on 23/10/2024. The conference was organized by the Kyrgyz National Centre for Analysis and Research in Regional Politics and Law in collaboration with the Diplomatic Academy of the Kyrgyz Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Institute for Strategic Studies of the Kyrgyz Republic. The event was held via Zoom.

Saleh began his paper by discussing Israel’s expansionist policies, its forceful occupation of Palestinian territories, and its disruption of the peace process and the two-state solution. He highlighted the Israeli war on Gaza Strip and Lebanon, as well as the violations and atrocities committed against the land and its people. He pointed out that this aggressive behavior is backed by the United States and supported by a Western international framework, which has placed Israel above the law. As a result, over 925 international resolutions from the United Nations, the Security Council, and other international bodies have been rendered ineffective, as Israel has failed to implement any of them. Consequently, Israel poses a significant threat to both Middle Eastern and global security. In his paper, Saleh also addressed Netanyahu’s discussions regarding the reorganization of the regional security system.

Saleh emphasized the Palestinian people’s right to resist the Israeli occupation and reclaim their land through various means, including armed struggle. He asserted the importance of recovering their full rights regarding land and holy sites. He also highlighted the responsibility of the international community and global powers to confront Israeli aggression and support the Palestine issue.
